Welcome to the blog today, it’s Maja here to share a layout 🙂

I must admit I don’t like early Christmas. I don’t like Christmas trees and Santas in shops since November, I don’t start making Christmas cards in August. The long tradition in my family is to decorate the Christmas tree on the Christmas Eve morning, not a day earlier! 🙂 (well, we do keep it throughout January so we have plenty of time to cherish the festive look of the house 😉 ) And I love it that way 🙂 But that doesn’t mean I won’t use Christmas papers when they are released in October – just have a look at this LO:

Yep, that’s A Gift For You! 🙂 I just love the mini houndstooth pattern paper and I knew I would be using it first of all since I opened my DT box 😀 So let’s take a closer look. I used my favourite colour combo: white-gray-mint/teal, I think it’s a really refreshing mix 🙂 First I stamped some script motives on the paper and then added stars using a stencil and white gesso:

I added strips of washi tape with various patterns, tore the background paper and folded it out for some interesting dimension. I matted my multiphoto sheet with pieces of papers – I coloured the newspaper paper with my custom-made glimmer mist 😉 See that little “you” tag? I snipped it from the signature strip 🙂 And look at those miniglasses – here’s a funny story to them. Filip always wanted to have “something medical”, but it’s been always Kuba who got to wear corrective insoles, glasses and had his teeth varnished. Filip feels neglected by doctors and to cheer him up I “gave” him the glasses – I wish you could see the look on his face when he saw that! LOL

I coloured the chipboard words o the title with various mists and surrounded it with flowers:

I even used the Christmas tags 🙂 so that the holiday motives are hidden 🙂

I have a real problem storing my layouts as the albums are so bulky and for some time now I’ve been trying to reduce my need for dimension 😉 So here’s a side look – I did my best!
