Hi there, Maja Fans! Welcome to the blog today!
I hope you’re having a great summer Monday 🙂 If not, just make yourselves a cup of tea/coffee, relax and have a look at what I made to share today 🙂
We are so lucky to be living in a digital camera era and can take tons of photos to preserve the precious moments we live through! And so today a summer layout I made using our latest collection, Summer Crush:
I just fell in love with the retro images and designs of this new collection! I thought it was simply perfect for the background of this slightly nostalgic photo of our holiday in Italy that though ended just a week ago, can be called only a memory now…
What really drew in my attention during our holiday was that the mountains in Italy very often “drop” directly into the sea 😉 Therefore I tore pieces of paper and layered them to achieve this mountains-in-the-sea effect:
Then I splattered several colours of mists to imitate droplets of water sprayed around by the sea breeze:
I added some flowers that matched my colour palette – I chose the burlap flowers also because the fabric resembles sails of the boats in the Portofino marina where the photo was taken.
I also added mika flakes to reflect the glistening of the sea waves…
…and cheesecloth for the seafoam:
When I look at my layout, I can recall the moment quite clearly – and that’s the beauty of scrapbooking! 🙂
