Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the new collection Summertime. I chose this photo taken in the garden of the castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire (Loire Valley, France).

I cut the Smell the Roses paper in small strips and glued them on the background paper: Is always the best bs. Then I first added a very thin layer of white gesso, and when dry I added some white crackle paste randomly.

While the crackle paste was still wet I added some black thread and I sprinkled some red bister as well as Carmin Primary Element. I sprayed a little bit of water to activated both powder and let dry.

In the meantime, I colored the flowers and the leaves with different Twinkling H2Os.

When the background was dry, When the background was dry, I added a design with a stencil ans a gold crackle paste. I also splattered some twinkling H2O in red and green as well as black gesso.

I finished the layout with some gold Mica Flakes and Micro Beads.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com
