Welcome to the blog today, Maja Fans ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s Maja here to share two cards with which I mean to prove you can use Maja Design theme collections all the year round ๐Ÿ™‚

I love playing with theme papers and use them for other occassions too. Thus you don’t need to put your Christmas papers away for a year in January ๐Ÿ™‚ For instance, would you say this wedding card was made using Vintage Winter papers?

mdwBut it is! ๐Ÿ™‚ I used the brown, red and cream sheets for the gorgeous ornate background:

mdw1I stamped some crackles onto the top layer and added a bunch of roses, resin frame and metal butterflies:

mdw2Then I added vintage ribbon sprayed with golden mist to match the frame colour:

mdw3For the backround bottom layers you can use even theme-patterned papers, details such as snowflakes or Santa Clauses won’t be visible clearly ๐Ÿ˜‰

Supplies: Vintage Winter: Chocolate, December, Season’s Greetings.ย  Other: resin frame: RetroKraft Shop; stamps: Kaisercraft, Lemonade; butterflies: Trimcraft; flowers&leaves, ribbon: from my stash.

But this doesn’t apply to winter/Christmas papers only. This baby boy welcome card is used with the marine papers ๐Ÿ™‚

mdmajWell, OK, this one is to some extent marine-themed, but I could have omitted the little whale and washi tape and it would look just as ordinary baby boy card, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

mdmaj1I layered several stripes and stars design, die-cut the onesie and coloured it with Promarkers to give it some dimension and matted it with a piece of cheesecloth. Can you see those cute tiny button brads? ๐Ÿ™‚

mdmaj2I used a piece of paper with the signature stripe visible – aren’t those little elements really useful?

mdmaj3Supplies: Life by the Sea: The East Coast, Marina Hovering bs, Islands and Skerries bs, Regatta bs. Other: dies: Sizzix, Poppy Stamps; brads: Making Memories; washi tape: Dekoracyjna Taล›ma; charm, cheesecloth, linen string: from my stash.

See you!
