Hello Maja Design friends and welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

When I was pregnant with my younger son, some friends frightened me with visions of what was going to happen after he would be born: my elder son would be two, going through his 2-year-old rebellion, giving us hard time and might even pose a serious threat to the newborn because of jealousy. I must admit for a short time I was a bit worried, but I couldn’t believe my quiet, sweet boy could change so much just because a new baby arrived. And I wasn’t wrong! ๐Ÿ™‚ He is the best elder brother one could imagine, and the bond between my boys is really strong. As you can often see, that is the subject of my layouts, and this one as well:

mdtogetherDo you recognise the papers I used? ๐Ÿ™‚ Yep, that’s Vintage Frost Basics! I’m always sorry to put beautiful wintery papers away, but Maja Design collections are so versatile you can use them all the year long ๐Ÿ™‚ And so I took two sheets for the background, distressed the edges and stamped some crackles, and then began to layer more papers ๐Ÿ™‚mdtogether1Apart from ready made flowers, I made two of them myself from Maja papers: the smaller one is die cut and the larger punched using a 6-petal flower. I put some pearl centres in both of them and so I had custom flowers perfectly matching the colours and patterns ๐Ÿ™‚

mdtogether2I added a couple of embellies to complete the arrangement: some metal charms, acrylic bulbs, a button and a sticker. I also used some decorative tags (from the December calendar sheet) as decorative elements, I love the ornate shapes! The numbers are hidden under the papers and only those fancy shaped edges are visible ๐Ÿ™‚

mdtogether3To use up the scraps of paper, I made a small banner – I punched some triangles, layered them and distressed and glued a piece of wax string shaped into a flourish ๐Ÿ™‚

mdtogether4Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Frost Basics: 10th, 11th, 12th, 16th and 21st of December, Days of December.

Other: Flowers, resin and acrylic embellies, wire heart: Prima; wooden moon: Stempell&Kartoon, title word: SODAlicious; stamp: Kaisercraft; sticker: Heidi Swapp; button, metal charms: from my stash.

Some time ago I and the boys talked about their day at school and something Kuba helped Filip with, and I said: See, Filip? What would you do without your brother? And he answered seriously: I wouldn’t want to live.

๐Ÿ™‚

have a nice day and see you soon!
