Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!
I’m really happy that soon after warm, family-spent Christmas time we can celebrate another day filled with love and friendship 🙂 St. Valentine’s Day is such a positive holiday! And valentine cards are my second to Christmas cards to make. And as February begins, I’m ready to celebrate 😉
What would be a better collection to use for love-themed cards than Vintage Romance, of course! And so I made a masculine and feminine card for Valentines.
The masculine card is kind of clean&simple style – I tried to handwrite in one of the trendy fonts of lately, as if a love letter, added a die-cut cupid and tiny forget-me-nots that also appear in the card background:
Though the card is pretty simple, it still has some nice dimension 🙂
For the feminine card I went for the shabby chic style.
I used one of my most favourite designs from the collection, with gorgeous roses and forget-me-nots. I distressed a crafter’s clay frame with antique golden paint and filled the inside with pink roses and added some cheesecloth on top. I also used cheesecloth to accent the particular layers of the background. And then I noticed that right above the rose frame there’s a “Love Story” printed in the background – how fitting! 🙂
Then I stamped the “I love you” sentiment and heat-embossed it with golden ep:
I really like the way the cards turned out – the Vintage Romance collection is just perfect for love projects!

2 very beautiful cards, and especially the female card is really romantic, even though the male is also very beautiful and definitely how most males would preffer it, I´m sure. But I can´t deny, that I´m a softie about anything Shabby Chic, so it hit me really big, and went right into my heart. Sooooo gorgeous work here once again, thanks sooo much for your wonderful inspiration.
