Wedding card

Exciting day… A year and a half ago I decided to step down from the Creative Team at Maja Design since I started working there as a Marketing Director. When Cathy decided to come back to our team she needed a little help. So I decided to step in every fourth week and do some projects myself. So for the first time in a very long time, here’s a posting with a little creation… created by me. 🙂

A very dear friend of mine got married in June. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend the wedding but I created this card for her, using the Vintage Summer Basics collection.
And yes, the glasses and cake decoration was used during my own wedding eight years ago. The years do pass by very fast.
I’ve cut out different Scrap FX chipboards and painted them randomly with Gesso.  I’ve used Pumice Stone Distress Ink and a border punch by Martha Stewart for the edge. The metallic frame is one of my Tim Holtz Idea-Ology favourites. The flowers are from Prima, floss by Karen Foster.

I wrote a poem on the inside of the card, hopefully she liked it. I’ve used the following papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection…
