While we are waiting for the summer…

Hello Maja friends! It’s Heidi blogging here today from a cold and snowy Norway. Do you miss the summer and the long, warm days? Today I have made a card that reminds me of the summer, using paper from Maja Designs collection Vintage Summer Basic.

I have sewn zigzag stitching with my sewing machine around the edges of the papers and added some white Gesso.

I have attached a piece of metal mesh on the paper before I’ve decorated with an old glossy picture of a parrot, a wooden bird cage I have painted brown and a lot of flowers and leaves.

Crafting has always been a passion of mine, and since I discovered the amazing world of papercraft years ago I have been completely addicted to it. I love the shabby chic- and vintage style and most of my projects are characterized by the use of vintage photos, lace, flowers and romantic details

  • It’s very cold here in the U.S. as well, although we are not having any snow right now. Your card is just lovely and makes us want to put on our cut-off jeans or jump in the pool!
