Wonderful Everyday Moments

Hello Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Are you already in love with our latest release, the Vintage Romance collection? 🙂 I must say I am, and as always with Maja papers, even the themed collections can be used for other occasions too. And today I have a layout to share that has nothing to do with romance or marriage (even though it features the Marriage Proposal sheet! 😉 ) – it just reminds to cherish the everyday life (actually, I rarely scrapbook photos of special events! ):

I first cut out the centre of the Marriage proposal sheet, then inked the inner edge and distressed the outer edge – which was a mistake as it would have been MUCH easier to first distress the edge and then cut out the centre 😀 So learn from my mistake here not to struggle with the thin wriggling paper border. Then I mounted the frame on 3d dots uon the He’s my man paper.

Then I cut out several automobile images and vintage clocks to mat my photo. I completed the arrangement with some metal embellies.

And now I must confess: I added so many old cars images actually not because my son loves them. I mean, he is of course excited with newest fancy models, fast and filled with James Bond-like gadgets, but here it’s me who loves vintage automobiles 😉 I’d love to have one of my own, but of course I’m realistic about the purchase and maitenance cost. So the only vintage cars in my garage are these:

They used to be chocolate boxes that now serve as buttons and corners containers 🙂

And now, my layout was made using these papers:

Apart from that, I used:

Prima, Cheery Lynn and Sizzix dies; 3rd Eye buttons, Tim Holtz metal pieces, 13@rts glitter splash ink and a vintage bike charm from my stash.

Thank you for visiting today and see you later!
