Hello Maja Fans,

do you feel the Spring spirit, so happy that the Winter has passed, though it has not even started there.

So I created the cards with totally a spring feeling.

I mixed many collections as I couldn’t choose the only one

and decorated the cards with the flowers and layers.

It seems that Vintage Spring , Summer Basics and Vintage Romance look great together.

a bit of lace accent and the cards are feminine and soft.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

The moment I browsed through my newly received box with the Little Street Cafe collection, I had the idea for birthday cards featuring some of the beautiful images from the collection. In the meantime I made a couple of other projects using the collection, but finally I managed to get those cards made too 😀

Both cards feature images from the Die Cuts sheet.

For one card I used the large image of a cup of coffee and a cupcake:

Sinc the size of the image was almost the size of the card, I added embellishments directly upon it  – a mini bouquet, large pearl brads and a stamped sentiment tag:

The image of a lady I used for the other card was smaller, so I was able to add more elements:

I placed the image upon a flowery background and added a stamped and embossed sentiment and a little cake picture that I die-cut with a post stamp die. I also added lace and mini flwoers and accented the details with glitter. A couple of sequins add some glam too:

I really like the way they both turned out – nice and colorful, perfect for a fine lady’s birthday 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Marianne Design, CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; brads: Craftmania; lace: my stash.

That’s all for today – thank you for visiting and drop by soon for more inspiration!

Sharing a Cup of Coffee With a Friend – Shaker Card

Hello Friends.  Jennifer Snyder here sharing a virtual cup of coffee with my Maja Design friends, and chatting about beautiful paper collections, shaker cards, and crafty fun.

That’s what this post is all about – how wonderful lovely cheery papers make us feel.  Maja Design’s  ‘Little Street Cafe” collection is certainly top on my list of gorgeous collections with it’s warn tones of pink and golden yellow.

If you are not familiar with Maja Design’s monochrome  companion collections, here’s a little information that will help.  They are solid color sheets perfectly matched to accent the patterned papers; great for backgrounds, borders, die cutting and blending your paper-craft passion.
In addition to the Monochrome collection, Shades of Cafe, I used the following papers for my card:  Sunshine and the Die Cut sheet.
The die cut selected says,

“Happiness is a cup of coffee shared with a friend.”

Nothing is better than sharing a real cup of coffee with a friend,  but I came up with the “next best thing” which is the shaker cup of coffee.  This is a fun interactive shaker card that will put a smile on that friend’s face.
The chipboard shaker cup of coffee is from Creative Embellishments, and the fun shaker mix is from Buttons Galore and More.  It’s a fun combination of sequins and beads bringing joy to me coffee cup.
Thank you for stopping here today.  Happy crafting.

Welcome creative friends!

Suitable to the Valentine month I was inspired to create a vintage layout

with our latest very romantic paper collection ‘Our little street cafe’.

I used the paper sheets ‘Joyful’ ; ‘Something sweet’ as background paper and ‘The best place’ both sides as torned stripes. Matching the vintage theme I added some chipboards from Dusty Attic, some remnants of lace, old book pages and some Prima Marketing flowers to the mixed media layout.

some close up’s

on the left side next to the photo there is a small envelope

in which you can hide your secret wishes

 Thanks for your visit!

I hope I could inspire you to use this beautiful papers

for some happy hours on your crafty table.

Happy crafting!

Hi everyone! Here I am with a Valentine card for you. To share some love. I hope you all are fine. Here in Norway it is still raining, but then again it is cozy to spend some time in the crafting room.

For my card I have used papers from the lovely collection Little Street Cafe. Perfect for any romantic card.

Dies and stamps are from Magnolia.

I have cut out the flowers, and sprayed them with water, curled them up, and let them to dry. Then they get this crispy look. I have also painted them with some white Gesso paint.

Behind the image I have placed some corrugated paper and cheese cloth.

I love to use MajaDesign papers, as they are thick and the colours matches the Distress Ink colours I use for my painting.

Thank you so much for visiting the MajaDesign blog today!

With love,
