Welcome everyone!

The strawberries are ripe, a wonderful time in the garden,

which always reminds me of my childhood.

There was nothing better than picking them myself and putting them right in mouth.

I was inspired to create a mixed media project on a canvas. For that I used some papers from the ‘Summertime’ collection. There you can find a lot of  red suitable papers. The Maja Design papers are always of a very good quality, they are firm and stable and therefore also ideally suited for colour games. It is advisable to always start with a layer of clear gesso, so that the paper is sealed and does not curl.

Hi everyone! Here comes my inspiration card. My sister in law has graduated from nurse school now, and I made her this card. She was so happy when I gave it to her, so it was all worth making it! 🙂 I am so proud of her, and all she accomplish!

And what is better than to use this lovely papers from the Summertime collection! They are really beautiful!

This is the first image where I have tried out my new water colour paper. It is called Bockingford, and is 300 g hot pressed. I use brushes size 0 and 00.

The flowers are from Petaloo, and the small ones are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Image and dies are from Magnolia. The shape if the card is made with Go Kreate dies.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja blog.

Hello sweet Maja fans,  Lenet here and today I bring you this giftbag.

For this I used the wonderful collection of Denim and Girls. Like a lot of you I really love this collection with his bleus and pinks. the flowers ribbon and lace are from my own stash.

the square and oval are made using Spellbinder dies.

For the cute  little envelope that I used instead  of a label ,I used a Gummiapan die it has a little card in it that you can use for your message.

I had a little strip of Denim and Girls Pink linen left over , and I used a Gummipan die to make this cute little giftbag .

Thank you for visiting today , I hope you like what I made for your inspiration today, hope to see you again next time.

Don’t forget to visit again later to take a look at the work from the other Maja Girls.

Thank You Teacher Cards

Good morning Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In less than a fortnight Polish schoolchildren will be free from school until September 🙂 So it’s an intensive time of last chances to get better grades and thank your teachers. And so for today I have two simple thank you teacher cards to share:

Just as with the Denim&Friends collection, I wanted to check whether the feminine version, Denim&Girls, would make masculine projects too 😉 And so I used these papers to make a feminine and a masculine card. I used the same design for both cards, so only the paper patterns make a difference. The she-teacher card features a hint of pink and some flower patterns:

And the he-teacher version shows off some geometrical designs and darker colour palette:

And so again, it turns out you can use Maja Design papers for any project and theme, and you are not limited to its original theme 🙂

Here’s what I used for my cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Spellbinders; stamp: Lemonade; brads: Craftmania; charms: my stash.

I hope the teachers who get the cards would feel appreciated! After all, they are like second parents to our kids 🙂

See you soon!

Jennifer Snyder here today sharing a traditional card with a surprising twist – it’s a slider card.  I chose two collections to mix to complete the look of my card – papers from the collections; Life by the Sea and Life in the Country.  Maja Design collections can often be mixed  – it’s part of the charm and versatility of Maja Design collections.
These are the papers I used from the Life By the Sea collection

The paper from Life in the Country collection:
Strawberries with Ice
The slider card is a die set from Spellbinders and was so much fun to use.
This is a special card because it’s going to be sent across the world to my nephew who is serving overseas in the military.
A card is a great way to say, “Hello, you are special and I am thinking of you.”  But an interactive slider card says, “Wow!  You are loved, super special AND I really miss you.”
This is a close up of the slider car when it’s open.  Fun, right?  So many possibilities when you mix Maja Design collections.

Here is one last look at the card.

Thanks for stopping here today.
Go grab some Maja Design papers, make a special card and send someone a hug.
