Christmas in July

Hi everyone! Are you ready for a Christmas post today? I have made some Christmas cards, and I will show you them in my next coming posts. I know it’s a bit early, but Christmas is coming before you know it 🙂 I have used some gorgeous papers from the collection called Home for the Holidays.

The card is actually made with a coffee filter. And I have decorated the sides with christmassy Maja papers.

The image is coloured with Distress Inks, to match the colours of the papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the image and text, plus dies are from Magnolia. I have added some corrugated paper and cheese cloth behind the image. Behind the flowers I have added sisal gras.

Under you get a sneak peek of the cards to come 😉 I have made a serie with Home for the Holidays papers and coffee filters. Hope it inspires you!

Here are the papers used:

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!

  • Oh, so beautiful, Camilla! How did you use the coffee filters?

    • Thank you so much Patty! The coffee filter is the card base. And I have decorated the front and back, and put a card to write on inside the filter, as it is open on the top. Perfect to make cards with. I make templates using the size of the coffee filter, and draw it on the Maja papers, and then cut them out. When you have made the template it is fast to make several cards using the same template. I have made one for the bazzill and one for the pattern papers. The one for the bazzill is ca 0,5 cm smaller on each sides than the coffee filter, and the one for the pattern papers is ca 0,5 cm smaller than the one for the bazzill. I hope you understand 🙂

  • Absolut gorgeous work here, even though I do think it´s way too early for Christmas stuff. I had hoped you would all wait at least until after the summervacation, but do see the same everywehere this year.
But as I said your work is as always absolut stunning and beautiful in every detail.
