Feeling Brand New

Hello again, Maja friends! I’m curious, do you consider yourself an avid stamper? Like every day when you wake up in the morning you check your blog? Galleries? E-mails pertaining to crafting? Do you feel that you need to get into your craft space at least once a day? Do you walk around your house or outside and wonder if any little detail you see could be used on a project? If you answered yes to most of these questions, you’re like me….totally enamored of this paper crafting thing. Case in point, for this card I’m about to show you, I walked around my house and snipped off the little bubbly orange thing from an arrangement in my living room because I thought it would go perfectly with my card based on the Walking in the Forest collection:CSC146MajaCleanAm I right? How could I NOT use it? Walking-in-the-forest-P I distressed all the edges and added some paper piercing to the outside perimeter of the card. The butterfly was cut from the Die-Cuts page contained in this collection. I added some Zva Creative crystal flourishes, a Prima paper flower and that thingy that I cut off. (I did cut it off from the BACK of the arrangement, FYI!) The ribbon is from Verve’s Summer Sailing collection and worked perfectly to bring your eye to the flower detail.

Here are a couple of other card that I made this past week using Maja Design’s Vintage Summer Basics :

Sweet cards, love them. I save alot of things from packaging.

  • LOL….you’re totally like me on this Andrea, nothing is safe in this house. If a piece of jewellery breaks, I put it aside for my scrap pages, floral bouquets? yep, they get plucked too! It’s to the point where my daughters hide things and say ” You are not using this on one of your pages Mom!” lol!! Gorgeous work my friend! All of your cards are so beautifully detailed, I’m always inspired when you post! xo

You HAD to do it Andrea ! LOL
(If I had been at your home, that bubbly orange thing would not
have been safe either! : )
These cards are spectacular!! I too am always inspired and uplifted by your work.
I love to see what you create with beautiful Maja papers~

Yup, those orange bubbly flower stems belong on the card, no question! And yes, I’m thoroughly addicted. Struggling at the moment with having to work away from home (and my crafty stash) for half of each week… not good!! Gorgeous cards… definitely need to play with some of the papers I bought with my winnings recently…
