Hello, today I am here to share with you a few LO’s I did, using some of Maja Design’s Beautiful Collections. Here is the first one using the Fika Collection…..
This beautiful photo of Jacobi was taken by her mother Kelly, I had lots of fun using it…
Out of the Fika Collection I used: Bjornbarskakor, Bjornbarskakor-BS, Bjornbarsrutor, Vaaffla m bjornbarssylt, Hemma hos mig-BS, Favoriter, Vaffla m bjornbarssylt-bs, & Chaite-BS. The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic. Here are some close ups of detail….
I chose my background, to bring out Jacobi’s blond hair, then started to layer using the colors in her outfit & in the photo.
I did my usual distressed layers, did some punch work, used a die from Tim Holtz & some stitching…..
I used LuminArte’ olive vine on the corner flourish & when that dried, I dabbed on a bit of Viva Inka Gold Rub….
I also used some burlap & trim in my layer’s….
On the Alpha I used LuminArt’ Razzleberry, then dabbed on some Inka Gold Metallic rub…
Here is another LO I did, using a photo of me & my 5 dogs in the garden area that I staged for the Maja Vintage Papers. I am so happy I did that, the garden turned out beautiful & I got lots of good photo’s to use!!! This garden was also very different from the rest of my gardens.
I used 2 different collections on this LO. I love how you can combine the Maja Collections….
From the Vintage Spring Basics Collection I used 9th of March, 9th of March-BS, 2nd of May, 6th of May,7th of May, 7th of May-BS,10th of March, & 8th of March-BS…
From the Vintage Summer Basics I used: 1924-BS & 1946…The chipboard used is from Dusty Attic…Here are some close ups of detail…
I wanted my flower cluster’s to look woodsy as they do in the photo. I started by punching out a lot of tiny flowers, out of coffee filters, drew lines on them, inked the edges, then dabbed on some Viva Gold Metallic rub, then I put a drop of petal pink liquid pearls in the center of each flower. I then put a drop of glue on the center of the back of the flower & glued them down to the LO. I then cut out lots of little flowers from the 6th of April sheet,& glued these in between the other flowers. I put a drop of opal white liquid pearls on those flowers. After the glue dried I played with the flowers with my fingers, lifting them, to bring out each tiny flower….
Where I did the lace work, I worked with that piece before I glued it on to the main back ground. I did all of my distressed layers, stitching & lacing, then I glued it to the background, with the burlap trim under it….
I used picket fence crackle on the flourish & once that dried I rubbed in brown chalk & inked the edges…
I did the same treatment to the alpha & ferns…
Of course I had to use butterflies,as 4 of my dogs are Papillons…
Shows some of my distressed layers & stitching…
Yes we are all getting older!!! Many people ask me how I get a photo with all 5 of my dogs, well it is much easier to get that, then it is of my 3 sons!!! Here is another LO I wanted to share with you. It is my first Design Team LO for Dusty Attic, So excited!!!
I combined 2 collections for this LO……
Out of the Sommartider Collection I used Lata dagar, Iskall saft-BS, Kvallsdoop-bs, & some of the BS’s of the lables…
Out of the Fika Collection I used: Havrerutor-BS,Favoriter & Ingefarsparon. Here are some close ups of detail…
On the outside of the squares,of the garden tile frame, I used picket fence crackle. Then I cut out 1.5 inch squares out of the Sommartider Collection (inspired by the patchwork dress) inked the edges, then glued those pieces onto the squares….
On the leafy part of the frame, I applied clear versa mark, then rubbed in a few shades of green chalk, while the versa mark was still wet….
I did the same treatment to the ATC frame…
On the Alpha I used Bolivian Blue LuminArte’…
The stencil is from TCW. I first used molding paste & once that dried I applied a few shades of pink tattered angels using a brush….
Thank you so much for taking the time to look….Rachelle

Gorgeous work, love all the details on each one.
Do you know if the pattern on the 6×6 papers are smaller than the same pattern paper as the 12×12 papers? Your cards are all so beautiful and I’d love to try some of your ideas and would purchase paper if I knew about the sizes of the patterns on the papers. I love your style. Your artistic ability is outstanding when it comes to matching patterns and colors!
Gosh how stunning are these layouts!!
