New Sofiero collection in action

With the new Sofiero collection it was love at first sight for me. Being a real girly girl, pink still is my favourite colour, so I had a lot of fun making this card with the soft and pretty papers from this collection.

With this card I wanted to show you that you don’t always need a lot of embellishment to create something. Except for two pearls and a chipboard heart, I only used papers from the Sofiero collection. Even the sentiment was cut out from the barcode strip of the “A romantic picnic in the park” sheet.

The papers that I used from this collection are: Strolling down the rose pad-bs, Princess Margareta’s Garden (back and frontside), Exuberance of flowers in bloom-bs, Royal summer residence.

The lovely butterflies are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection. They were cut out of the “6th of May” paper. I love you 2 I used several dies and a border punch to give my card a layered and rich look. Also I have added some dimension to my card by attaching all the pieces with foamtape. I love you 3Supply list:

Maja Design: patterned papers (“Sofiero” collection: Strolling down the rose pad-bs, Princess Margareta’s Garden (back and frontside), Exuberance of flowers in bloom-bs, Royal summer residence, A romantic picnic in the park; “Vintage Spring Basics” collection: 6th of May); Pink Paislee: chipboard heart; Memory Box: flower wreath die; Spellbinders: scalloped circle die; My Favourite Things: doily die; Martha Stewart: border punch ‘floral lace’; Bazzill Basics: cardstock; Panduro Hobby: pearls; Tim Holtz: distress ink ‘Walnut stain’.

I happened by your site and I love the card you have on display above! What a good idea to recycle every bit you can. For instant, using the strip of paper on most loose designer type paper, just the perfect size to cut out a sentiment!
Thanks for that great tip. As soon as I go down to my Woman Cave, I am gonna pull one of those “end” piece of paper out of that trash that I just threw away.
