Shabby Sweetness

Hello Maja fans!

I’m in today to share a romantic shabby layout I created using a mixture of the splendid Vintage Summer and Autumn Basics collections. I picked the colors and theme based on the mood board from the challenge blog Scrap Around the World.IMG_8400

In this page, I did a lot more distressing and tearing than usual to add to the shabbiness. My mixed media background work has also been toned down to let the subtle colors and designs of the papers shine through. I love how the colors and designs from different collections can be matched so perfectly, and how one sheet from one design can be used as a background for papers from other different themed collections to build up on.

Now adding on more dimension to my layers with chipboards and canvas strips. You can also see the very light background work I’ve done with simple stenciling and stamping.

Hope you enjoyed what I have for you today!
