Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂
Probably most of you have already celebrated Mother’s Day, but in Poland it’s on the 26th of May, so I’m still waiting 😉 And being in the celebration mood I created a shadowbox frame that would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift:
The base for my shadowbox is a half of the box of certain purple pralines 😉 I first attached chain and a tassel with brads before I covered the whole frame with Denim&Girls papers:
I layered the papers in the background and hand cut some decorative tags:
Other embellishments include a large rose, some acrylic gems, metal and chipboard pieces. I also stamped, coloured, cut out and arranged a layered magnolia flowers clusters:
I’m really happy how this frame turned out, and how Maja papers provided a perfect background for this beautiful photo. I didn’t use a ton of embellishments, but arranging them in dimensional layers resulted in a rich and bold design.
Here’s what I used:
Maja Design papers:
Other: chipboard and stamps: Agateria; metal pieces: Retro Craft Shop; gems, sequins: my stash.
I hope all the moms in the world have had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
See you soon!

An absolut gorgeous project for a loved mother, that´s for sure. Who wouldn´t have loved to get one of these? You´ve done an awesome job here hun, and the result is fabulous and so beautiful as usual. I just LOVE it, and I´m sure, whoever will recieve this will too.
Have a wonderful Mothers Day to you and everyone else in Poland too here on the 26th. And a great week ahead to everyone else outthere.
This is a beautiful shadow box, but what I love the most is your substrate! I am going to request of family they give me the empty boxes from Valentine’s Day candy they receive, so I can make a shadow box and give it back to them as gifts. Gorgeous work (as always), and creative idea!!
