Hello Maja Friends,

I do like watercoloring. I ‘ve used to practice it a lot when I was a child. I wish I could do it more often now.

But I found how I can combine scrapbooking and watercoloring

When I saw new Maja collection – Monochromes, I thought it is a good chance to work more thoroughly on your background. But then I forgot about it, and only after I almost finished my layout, I ‘ve realized that I’ve missed something. and I started sketching and drawing with a brush.

I have told many times that I love Maja papers as they reflect my favorite colors, and I guess that this color combo is the most natural for me. So first I wanted to keep it’s monochromatic look and played mostly with pink tones.

I also made some fussy cutting from the Vintage Romance papers. Normally I don’t like roses as the flowers, but this time I cut out several of them

However my drawing was not about the roses

It was fun creating the background, I think I need more practice .

  • I think, you´ve done an awesome job on this background here, it looks awesome. You really managed to fit it just perfectly with the rest here, so it all turned out in one whole and beautiful combination. Really cool and well made. Have a great week-end now everyone here.

  • This is gorgeous. Love how you combined your own drawings and watercolor for the background. It is so pretty yet soft enough for the rest of the layout.
