Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Easter passed, so that means we’re now entering the First Communion season which in Poland is usually in May. And so cardmakers are busy with making invitations and cards or other keepsakes. Today I bring you a First Communion exploding box:

I used papers from the Miles Apart collection, selecting neutral creams and greens so that the box can be given either to a boy or a girl. I decorated the lid with a stamped and embossed sentiment and a flower cluster. The outer walls feature two gorgeous damask patterns:

Once opened, the box reveals inner walls covered with delicate srping leaves pattern of the Be Safe sheet.

I decorated the walls with a die-cut Host with some vine leaves and flowers, a stamped Eucharistic song:

… a pocket for money or a small gift and stamped wishes:

In the centre I put a chipboard Eucharistic chalice deocrated with flowers:

I really like how delicate patterns and subtle colours of the papers provided approriate background for white and gold decor of the box!

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: CreaLies, my stash; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps: Agateria, Lemonade; chipboard: Scrapiniec; washi tape: Dekoracyjna Taśma.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Hello Sweet Maja  fans.

Lenet hereand today I bring you this  layout made with the wonderful papers of the Vintage Summer Collection.

The frame and sentiment are chipboards from Dusty Attic and I colored them with distress embossingpowder from Tim Holtz.

Lately I’m into making  My own flowers , not that I don’t have any but it’s fun to do and this way you always have a matching color to go with you papers and picture .

That is if you use a picture on the project you are making. Another good thing is , I’m using my old flower dies again.

Here are two close ups of the flowers I made for this layout, I added a littleplaterpaste on the edges to give it a little extra. in the center I used stems and 3D balls medium from powertex.

and again I did some fuzzy cutting and stuck them behind the flowers . I love to do the fuzzy cuttig and the effect it gives when you use them like this. It’s just that little bit extra.

I hope you like my lay out , thank you for visiting , stay safe and hope to see you again next time.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

The weather has been quite unsteady recently, with cold wind, freezing rain and snow mixed with beautiful sunshine, which is rather typical for this time of the year in Poland 🙂 And so it happens that I’m sharing a winter-time layout on a beautiful spring day! But even though I used a photo taken during Christmas and a winter collection, Holiday in the Alps, with Maja papers characteristic versatility it’s all universal.

I first applied some handwriting pattern with a stencil and gold pearl paste upon the background Monochrome paper and then added a layered cluster of paper pieces and hand-made tags to mat the photo:

I added some flowers in between the layers and some epoxy stickers that perfectly match the stencil paste. Then I arranged the title with alpha stickers mounted on foam:

I completed the page with some metal and art clay elements and sequins for a bit of subtle glam:

I often use flowers in boy layouts and so I did here and I think it still looks pretty masculine 🙂 What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stencil: Agateria; paste: Stamperia; flowers: Blue Fern Studios, Wild Orchid Crafts; metal pieces: Mitform; stickers: October Afternoon, Heidi Swapp; sequins: DpCraft.

That’s all for today, have a nice weekend and stay safe!

Goodmorning & happy April lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn to give you some inspiration on how to use your amazing Maja Design papers. For this layout I used the pretty “Miles Apart” collection….one of my new favorites by far. On this layout I used a picture of our little princess Abbey Jane when she was about three months old. All the products I used on the beautiful papers are by Renea Bouquets they are a perfect fit for all the gorgeous Maja Design papers.

As you maybe know by now I am a die hard layout maker, I began about 17 years ago and in the beginning I always made dubble pages but in the process of my scrapbooking years they became single pages. Sometimes I think and start trying to make a double one but that idea never sticks with me for long….for today I have a single page again lol….that started in my mind as a double page.

As you see I ripped the papers in pieces and then layered them the way I wanted to, so the pink papers peak through in one part but I wanted to have the green as my focal point. Behind the green I added the beautiful lace I think lace on your layout makes it really feminine. On top of my green sheet I added a script stencil.

I also added a stamp on the background and some spray for the finishing touch I added some microbeads, art stones & Finnabair waxes {on my flowers and leaves}

Maja Design papers used: Be Safe bs & Distance

I told you that I would come back with the answer of how much collections was the most I used on my projects and it was five 😉 Have a wonderful day and please stay safe & healthy.

Love

Hello Maja Design Friends.  Jennifer Snyder here celebrating Spring with some floral cards.

Today I combined two Maja Design collections to create my cards; the Little Street Cafe Collection, Fika collection and Miles Apart. These are the individual sheets from the collections:   “Feeling Good” paper from Little Street Cafe; “Be Safe” and “Distance” from Miles Apart; and “Hemgjord saft” from Fika.

     Be safe

The first spring card combines the yellow/gold color from Little Street Cafe with the beautiful purple tones of Fika.

The dies for the flowers are from Spellbinders.

This card uses the papers from Miles Apart.  The delicate foliage pattern looks great with pink gingham paper.

I adore gingham as if that were not obvious  in the brown gingham ribbon on the first card as well as the pink gingham ribbon on this card.

Thank you for stopping here.
