Hello Maja Friends, are you ready to meet the Winter Season

We have the snow already and it inspired me to create something snowy:

I played with an oldie paper collection – Home for the Holidays, still one of my favorite.

I made a few paper layers , die cutting elements and some other embellishments

Hope you have a wonderful season too and that you have already started preparing for Christmas and New Year.

Hello Sweet Maja Fans.

I’m one of the people who can’t wait till Christmas,

I never do someting fancy just  hanging on my couch with a blanket hot tea or coco watching christmas movies . A lazy, cozy Christmas.

This year most of the time with my son who decided to sleep over this year, our daughter made plans with friends and my husband is at sea with the holidays.

I always buy some kind of countdown calander, filled with cocolate or something else. Last year I had one filled with wine.

I had a small one glass bottle everyday and there were some very nice ones in it.

This year I decided to make one my own with the great new collection traditional Christmas.

And here it is:

It’s an countdown calender from the dollarstore that I coverd with layers of the peace and joy sheet ,and added some  “snow ” made with glitter, gesso , 3D-gel  and mica flakes from Mellissa Frances.

I cut out some little gnomes  from the 6×6 paperpack of Traditional Christmas and placed them in the “snow”

Made some ornaments with numbers using the 6×6 PaperPack as well, so I can count down the days

Thank you very much for visiting, hope to see you back again.

Take care and stay Safe!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

So Maja Design did it again – released two winter collections that are absolutely gorgeous! You already saw some fabulous projects of my talented DT friends using the Traditional Christmas collection (which I’m still about to cut 😉 ) and I think it’s a good moment to share some inspiration using the other set – Winter Is Coming. Now, you might be lucky to live in a part of the world where winter means good weather and a lot of sunshine, but that’s not the case in central Europe 😉 So winter coming means gloomy weather, cold and rainy (not much luck with snow, though, as of recently) and it’s best to stay inside and warm up with something yummy to cheer up. And it’s good to have best recipes at hand, gathered in one nice recipe book:

As you see, the collection is (as all Maja papers) universal enough to mask its “winterness” 🙂 And looking at the colour palette, don’t you just think plum pie and raspberry jam?

I used a mix of papers for the front cover as I couldn’t decide which one to feature! That mix made a colourful background for the stamped and hand-coloured image of a girl, to which I added a cupckae button, an embossed chipboard title and a spoon-shaped charm:

Inside I added some more stamping and a die-cut kitchen mixer:

I included some pre-printed pages to write recipes on

:

…and added a pocket for some loose pieces to the inside back cover:

I think a handmade recipe book would make a great Christmas gift. What do you think?

Here’s my list of supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Stamping Bella, Tim Holtz, Inkadinkado; dies: Spellbinders; button: Lemoncraft; chipboard: Scrapiniec; charm, ribbon: my stash.

That’s all for today, keep dropping by for more inspiration! See you soon!

Hello Maja Design Friends.  I’m Jennifer Snyder.  Welcome to Maja Design’s blog.

Christmas is coming and Maja Design has released a new collection to help with the Christmas holiday card and decor preparations.  The new collection featured today is Maja’s “Traditional Christmas” collection.

True to it’s name, the colors are traditional and the patterns rich and fun.  This collection features the cutest little elves. I’ve used the elves on two of my cards.

Here is the image sampler for Maja Design’s “Traditional Christmas” collection.  Such beautiful images and rich colors for the season.

The following papers were used for my cards: Merry and Bright, Beautifully Decorated, By the Fireplace, Die cuts sheet.

By the fireplace Beautifully decorated  Merry and brightDie cuts

I have to say the elf image is the sweetest elf I have ever seen.

The chipboard pieces used on the cards is from Creative Embellishments and the poinsettia flowers and evergreens were cut from Spellbinders dies.

Thank you for stopping here.  Happy Crafting.

Goodmorning lovely Maja Design fans,

Lately I have the baddest luck with all my electronics in my house ughhh, programs on it not working and much more! Today I would like to share two cards I made with the lovely newest ” Traditional Christmas ” collection. I am not such a cardmaker but when I received this pretty collection I had to make me some cards…..loving those gnomes so much.

On my cards I used a whole bunch of dies because I love making flowers with the same kind of papers I am using at that time. I really had fun making these. The cards are tall they have a size 19 cm by 11 cm….that size is my favorite to work with! First I made the flowers and then added all the dies in the composition I’d liked then I took my glue gun and put everything into place.

If you make your flowers yourself you can add a lot of demension to your cards but the don’t fit in a regular envelope lol….I also love adding straws to my cards.

For the phrases on the cards I just used the strips on the bottom of the 12 by 12 sheets. Marie just adds so many nice phrases there to used on your works.

Maja Design papers used: Santa’s Elves-bs, Family gathering, Singing carols-bs, Peace and joy and the 6 by 6 paperpad.

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today! I also would like to let you know that I am hosting a Maja Design give away on my blog which will end next month around the 12th. I do hope you will enter it to win www.amyvoorthuis.blogspot.com have a wonderful day and stay healthy & safe

Love
