Hello Sweet Majafans,

Lenet here  and today I bring you something totally different .

Soon it will be Halloween , we don’t really celebrate this here in the Netherlands but it is done more and more every year.

Spooky parties , tours , decorating you see it more and more. but no trick or treat .

We have something simular in some parts  on november the 11th called Sint Maarten.  as soon as it gets dark children carrying lanterns the made at school ,

go singing from door to door collecting sweets. always very fun to see al those nice lanterns and hear them singing , especially the little children.

Unfortunately no Sint Maarten or Halloween this year due corona / covid.

But that didn’t keep me from making this Halloween card. Although Maja doesn’t have a  specific Halloween collection, the purple from Enjoying the Outdoors and the orange-ish one from Little Street Cafe are perfect for this.

So with any further ado  here is my Halloween card.

The witch is Wanda a stamp from Waltzingmouse the sentiment Happy  Halloween is from the same set. The frame is made with the Ornate Frame sizzix die from Tim Holtz altertions.

The bats are made with dies from some dutch brand I don’t know.

I hope you like my Halloween card.

thank you for visiting , take care and stay safe

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I still can’t get over the Miles Apart collection! I hope you can’t either, as I bring you another card I made using that beautiful set:

I wanted this wedding card to be delicate, pastel and romantic, so I chose light papers in ivory and blush pink to make a background for a die-cut oval panel, upon which I placed a chipboard piece in the shape of newlyweds riding a bike. I think it’s a nice symbol of their future together, common  goals and direction 🙂

I covered the chipboard with subtle irridescent glitter to give it a more glamorous look. I also added a hand-cut stamp image from the Ephemera sheet, a “Postcard” stamped word and a couple of flowers. Opalescent sequins, ribbon with wedding rings pattern and tring complete the design.

The card turned out pleasantly dimensional…

…so I put it in a box decorated with metallic washi tape:

I love how the Miles Apart collection can be used for delicate, romantic projects 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: Chipboard: Wycinanka.pl; flowers: Prima; die: CreaLies; stamp: Tim Holtz; ribbon, sequins: my stash.

And that’s all for today, stay safe and well and visit us again soon for more inspiration!

Goodmorning Maja Design fans,

If you visit the blog regularly you know I love making layouts! I have wanted to scrap this picture for a while now but that mini princess is making it a little difficult to scrap sometimes and I have to find time {while she is sleeping} to create because I really need it. We went to a photographer to make this picture because I wanted one with the four of us in it to put on a canvas to hang on my wall and so we did and I am very happy with it….look at that masculine son of us isn’t he handsome? I really love my little family <3

For this layout I used the pretty ‘Celebration’ collection and two sheets of the monochromes one of the Shades of Sofiero called white/sand and one of the Shades of Celebration called charcoal. On the background behind the pictures I used the monochromes I also used these for the flowers I made using the amazing dies by Cheery Lynn Designs which are still my favs. After having some computer problems {it crashed} oh boy how I dislike it when that happens I am back again….but due to these problems I missed two posts sorry for that….

The monochromes are amazing to make flowers with as I did in this layout…if I have time I will do a little tutorial on how to make the flowers in my layout they are super easy and quick to make. The chipboards are by The Dusty Attic and I treated them with just plain paint and some of them like the barb wire I treated with embossing powder. As you can also see in my layout I used some cheese cloth behind my picture and flowers.

To finish of my layout I added some stamps, art stones, wishing bubbles, and metal pieces and of course my favorite spray “Sidewalk Chalk” on my tittle I used some of the amazing rust paste by Finnabair. With this layout I entered in a moodboard challenge because the colors spoke to me and I knew exactly which papers I could use.

Maja Design papers used: Anniversary bs, You’re Invited, Ephemera bs, Mono Celebration-Charcoal bs, Mono White Sand

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the  Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Love

 Hello creative friends!

Autumn is with us and the days are getting shorter and darker.

Best time for a walking through the meadows and forests, all surrounded by colorful autumn leaves.

I was inspired to create a mixed media layout in typical fall colours.

I used some wonderful papers from the ‘Walking in the Forest’ collection, here you can find a lot of  papers in warm earth tones

as well as shades of denim blue and green. I love particularly the nature style in the design collection.

 ‘Die cut sheet’

‘Teal socks’

 ‘The orchestra of nature’

Thanks for your visit!

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you the wedding card I made for an earlier pupil of mine’s wedding. So it was a bit special to be asked to make a card for her. Therefore I wanted to do something extra. So I made both a frame and a book, then put them together. And I had some perfect papers for it! Just love the new collection, Miles Apart.

All sides are decorated with the gorgeous papers. Inside and outside.

On the front you see the frame I made here. The size of the card measure 14 x 15 cm.

The butterflies are cut out from a Maja Design sheet. This from The Vintage Spring Basics Collection, and it is called 6th of May.

Let’s open the book!

The stamps outside are from Magnolia. Inside I have used stamps from Stempelglede.

Inside the pocket on the left there is a paper to write a greeting on.

Here are the papers used:
