Hello.  Jennifer Snyder here today to share a sweet project made using Maja Design’s  newest collection, “Miles Apart”.

I primarily used the “Miles Apart” 6×6 paper pad to “dress” the Julie Nutting paper dolls in my shadow box.  The background of the shadow box is the only 12×12 piece I used from the collection.  This sheet is call “A Phone Call”.

Below is an image of the collection.  It’s soft and beautiful with delicate prints.

Here are some simple instructions on how I made this sweet shadowbox using the new Carter and Carly doll stamps from Prima and Julie Nutting.
First,  I wanted Carter’s tire swing to actually move so I cut two layers to use as a sandwich, and added hemp string.
Next I stapled the string to the wooden box.  No worries because we will be covering and hiding the staples.

I added ribbon around the box to decorate but mostly to cover the staples.
Meet Carly.  She looks adorable in the Maja Design papers.  Plus the 6×6 prints are perfectly sized for the dolls.
I cut two layers to make her more durable especially because I am going to be bending the doll so she can sit.

I added a few finishing touches.  Carly and her doll are accented in gems from Buttons Galore.  These are from the new Doo Dadz collections.
Next, Carter had to put his baseball mitt down so he could swing.  The mitt is a 3D button also from Buttons Galore.

Thank you for stopping here today.  The new collection has shipped and should be showing up in stores soon.  You can check the store finder list for vendors.
Happy crafting.

Goodmorning Lovely Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today it’s my turn again to post something that I made with the gorgeous Maja Design papers. For this layout I used three collections named ‘Nyhavn’, ‘Little street Cafe’ & the stunning new ‘Miles Apart’….jet again I used a precious picture of mine of both our children {so much love I see when looking at it} that’s why I named this layout Love Always….This was one of the first picture I took while Abbey had her eyes open so widely and looked straight into my camera…that I was so happy that I took it. Now Kevin likes to let me take pictures again yeah. I had so much fun creating this layout although yellow is not my favorite color to scrap I think it turned out pretty nice 😉

First I used a Martha Steward punch to cut the upper part of my layout, I cut that out of the ‘Sitting at the dock’ & ‘Stay Creative’ sheets then I placed that on feeling good sheet. Then I added some twine and placed a circle on the middle of my layout. Later on I added a Dusty Attic stencil and some Lindy’s sprays on my work.  I was inspired by last months mood board at the Facebook site from Dusty Attic. Lets have a closer look:

All the chipboards I used are by Dusty Attic I treated them with white gesso and some of the I embossed like most of the words, the others I gessod and ruste pasted them I was planning on using my wonderful dusty attic paint but it was all dried out sadly enough. So I treated it with waxes and spray.

And then comes the fun part adding my flowers that I selected for this layout they are all by 49 and Market. For the finishing touch I added some metal embellishments and some dress my craft sequins which I totally adore….and I added some white gesso on my flowers to make them a softer tone.

Maja Design papers used: Nyhavn – Sitting at the dock, Little street Cafe – Feeling good and the greens from Miles Apart – Stay Creative & Be Safe.

I hope you had fun reading my post and we do love to see your work created with the lovely Maja Design papers on the  Facebook site….Have a gorgeous day and I hope to see you soon….

Love

Hello Maja Friends,

I Haven’t posted there for several months and just realized that the last day of Summer is today. This Summer was a bit strange due to different issues, but I hope that you have found a chance to enjoy it.

I enjoyed playing with the new collection Miles Apart.

I love the mute colors it has and the floral motifs that I immediately cut out.

Soon we will enjoy the Fall bright colors, however I adore such kind of flowers this collection has.

I made a couple of quite simple cards using the layers and fussy cutting techniques, however I like how they turned out.

I like to mix the papers from 12×12” and 6×6” size, as you can get the variations of one pattern and get the different look.

For my sentiment I used the titles of the each 12×12” paper sheet.

Good morning dear Maja Visitors, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I hope you and your loved ones are safe and your summer is going good despite the restrictions imposed on us all over the world.

Summer usually gives a great opportunity to visit our family and friends living away, but this summer is very much different due to the pandemic. Some countries closed their borders, other don’t allow to travel abroad or introduce lockdown conditions, which all makes it impossible to leave our homes. We are lucky enough to have other means of contact such as phones or the Internet, but there are other ways to show our loved ones we remember 🙂 The Miles Apart collection was intended for such occasions and today I bring you two cards that you could send out when you can’t visit:

For my cards I used the most beautiful rose papers from the collection (in my opinion, of course 🙂 ), in the rose and blue version.

As the post stamp images from the Ephemera sheet I created my own custom pieces by die-cutting the post stamp shapes and filling them with flowery patterned rectangles. Then I added some stamping:

The central elements of the cards are chipboard hearts mounted on kraft cardstock for nice contrast and placced upon beautiful guipure lace. To match these pieces with the rose paper, I added a mini roses below the hearts. For the sentiment I used the ones printed on signature strips – you know I love using those mini patterns! The blue one says “Miss You”:

The pink card follows the suit, I just changed the plaid matting paper for a striped one and used the “Thinking of you” sentiment:

I really like the way they turned out and I hope someone who’d receive such a card would definitely feel our love and bond!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Joy!; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: the MiniArt; lace: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!
