Good morning, Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I’m sure you have already seen our latest release, the Holiday In The Alps collection! 18 gorgeously vintage patterns, introducing the winter season with Christmas images and scenes of winter holidays in the Alps, feature only 3 colours, but still give rich and varied background for you winter and Christmas projects. But not only! Just take a look at my today’s layout:

Not a sign of winter, Christmas or even sports 😀 I used theme-neutral patterns to create this fun boy page with photos of my godson.

I layered three papers, tow of them hand-torn to create uneven, distressed edges and on that background I placed my photos and decorated them with flowers and metal embellishments:

I die-cut the title word in glitter foam and placed it upon a chipboard heart:

As a finishing touch I added some buttons here and there and splashed the layout with white acrylic paint.

I really like the way it turned out, light and cheerful 🙂 What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: My Favourite Things; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; metal embellishments: mitform; chipboard: scrap.com.pl

Are you going use this collection for Christmas/winter projects only, or do you tend to use themed collections for other occasions too?

Hugs!

Jennifer Snyder here  to share Maja Design’s newest collections; Holiday in the Alps and Shades of the Alps (coordinating Monochrome papers)
Just in time for the coming holiday season!  This is a rich and wonderful collection with gorgeous Christmas and winter images and patterns.  And true to Maja Design’s unique style, this collection can be used through the year because the B side of the papers are classic patterns.
Below is an image of the Holiday In the Alps and Monochrome -Shades of the Alps collections.  I used the “Santa Claus” . sheet from the collection – all shown below.
I really hated to cut such a gorgeous sheet of paper, but the images are absolutely spectacular and needed to be used on a card for someone to enjoy.  I really had to fight off that desire to stash and hoard beautiful paper just to cut the paper.  The resulting card makes me even happier than keeping that sheet of paper forever with no one ever seeing it on a project.  Beautiful paper is meant to be used and shared.
I paired the new collection with some other products.
The chipboard shaker and pine cone branches are from Creative Embellishments and the shaker mix is from Buttons Galore and More.

Thank you for stopping.
Holiday In the Alps and Monochrome -Shades of the Alps collections are shipping now to retailers all over the world.  For assistance with shopping, visit the Store Finder link, here .

Welcome dear creative friends!

Winter is just around the corner and although I haven’t been able to develop any winter feelings yet,

I was totally enthusiastic about the new ‘Holiday in the Alps’ collection.

I love the colour combination blue – brown – white,

optimal for every vintage style but you can also create very natural winter landscapes with it.

I chose a picture of our Sheltie during a beautiful forest walk last year.

Hi everyone! Here comes some Christmas inspiration from me. I have used some of the lovely papers called Joyous Winterdays. Just perfect for any Winter/Christmas card. We are already in November, so now is the time to start with your Christmas cards, if you haven’t already.

The image is coloured in blue and brown to match the papers. I use Distress Ink for my colouring.

I have cut out some leaves from the papers, and added Fran-tage onto them.

Under you can see the card together with some other card also using the Joyous Winterdays Collection.

Here it is laying on an old platter which I have inherited. All dies used and image is from Magnolia.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog today! At the moment I am making some cards with the new collection Holidays in the Alps. Hopefully I will have one ready for you on my next post. Have a great weekend!

With love,
