Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂
It’s here, it’s here! Maja Design latest release, the Happy Christmas collection!
The traditional mix of green, red and brown, beautiful patterns and the signature Maja vintage look 🙂 I just got my DT box and couldn’t stop myself from immediately making some cards!
I chose a very simple design for my cards as I wanted to showcase the beautiful patterns of small gingerbread cookies and Christmas baubles. So I decided to put the stamped and embossed sentiments on the background paper and die cut windows in the top layers to make them visible. To this I added hand-coloured stamped images and a chipboard frame for the first card:
And for the second card I used a die-cut poinsettia:
For the bauble on this card I also used a little bit of paper piecing – can you see it? 🙂
I really love how hte cards turned out dimensional and yet still easily go into envelopes, ready to be sent out 🙂
And here’s what I used:
Maja Design papers:
Other: stamps, chipboard, ep: Agateria; dies: Magnolia; snow balls: DP Craft.
That’s all for today, see you soon!
And your work is as always just amazing Maja, and sooo well made down to the smallest detail, annd all looks so beautiful together and I´m sure the recievers of these will be delighted to get such beautiful cards. Stunning work, well done.
I love this new collection and am so happy to see how you used it for cards. I just ordered my Happy Christmas paper and look forward to using it in my family’s scrapbook. Thank you for your beautiful designs.
