Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Today I bring you a set of two Christmas cards in which the focus is on shaker box elements. For both cards I used Maja Design latest collection, Happy Christmas 🙂

In the first card I used the top layer for a shaker box bauble to make a kind of diorama inside it, mounting particular layers of hand-cut elements.  I then added a cluster made with die-cut poinsettia and wintery leaves and an embossed stamped sentiment:

For the second card I used the full shaker box that I filled with sequins and closed with a paper bottom, but as I used an additional layer with snowflakes forg the frame, the finished box was quite dimensional. So I cut out a circle in the card top layer and placed the shaker inside, to lower it a bit. Thus the shaker is still quite deep, but it doesn’t interfere with the card easily going into an envelope 🙂

For several years now I try to make dimensional holiday cards that still go into envelopes, and I’m really happy with the way these two turned out! I also love how beautiful the papers look, giving the cards this signature Maja vintage look 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Craft&You Design, Magnolia; stamps, chipboard: Agateria; sequins: my stash.

Do you you shaker boxes in your projects?

See you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

It’s here, it’s here! Maja Design latest release, the Happy Christmas collection!

The traditional mix of green, red and brown, beautiful patterns and the signature Maja vintage look 🙂 I just got my DT box and couldn’t stop myself from immediately making some cards!

I chose a very simple design for my cards as I wanted to showcase the beautiful patterns of small gingerbread cookies and Christmas baubles. So I decided to put the stamped and embossed sentiments on the background paper and die cut windows in the top layers to make them visible. To this I added hand-coloured stamped images and a chipboard frame for the first card:

And for the second card I used a die-cut poinsettia:

For the bauble on this card I also used a little bit of paper piecing – can you see it? 🙂

I really love how hte cards turned out dimensional and yet still easily go into envelopes, ready to be sent out 🙂

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps, chipboard, ep: Agateria; dies: Magnolia; snow balls: DP Craft.

That’s all for today, see you soon!

Hello Maja Friends,

October is almost over, so it’s to start Christmas preparations. And I like this time when I look through all Maja Design Christmas collections. It’s a hard choice, so I hope to try each one and to create many cards.

For today’s post I chose Traditional Christmas collection from the previous year.

I enjoyed the process of fussy cutting the elves

I like traditional colors of this collection and especially those cute elves.

I embellished my cards with Christmas die cuts and like that used only papers for them.

Those elves are perfect for decorating not only kids projects.

Hello Dear Maja Fans,

Hope you all are safe and oke.

Lenet here and today I bring you this Halloween wallhanger made  from a wooden doorhanger and papers from the Little streetcafe collection.

I made the moon of the hole  in the doorhanger that you use to hang it on your doorknob .

I put some tiny lights from Tim Holtz idea-ology behind the moon so it can really shine.

The chippies are from Scrapaholics and I colored them black with black embossingpowder from WOW. The little bats are dies from wich I don’t know the brand any more.

A close up from the moon. on the back I used the same paper as the moon , the Yellow sunshine sheet.

ThanI put the tiny lights in a way that you won’t see it peeping from behind the full moon.than i clued a piece of mica sheet on the top of the wallhanger before I glued the papers on it and on the mica I gleud the full moon. I cut it a little smaller than the original hole so you would see the light as you turn it on.

I hide the on and of switch on the back of the hanger.

I hope you like my little Halloween project and I wish you a safe and happy Halloween.

See you next time,
