Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

What is your childhood association with summertime? In my family it’s always been blackberry picking and eating, making blackberry pies, dumplings, jelly, eating them with sugar and cream… ๐Ÿ™‚ So the singature look for summer kids in my family is a berry tongue! And it’s no different for my kids:

I used the Tropical Garden collection not only because it’s a perfect summer collection, but also because it features that perfect shade of berry purple ๐Ÿ™‚ I matted the photo with bits of paper and hand-cut tags and added art clay fern leaves, “berry twigs” with mulberry leaves and die-cut berries ๐Ÿ™‚ I also die-cut letters to arrange the title. I finished the layout by spraying some moss-green and gold mist.

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Craft&You Design, Marianne Design; leaves: 49&Market, mists: Prima, fern mold: Prosvet.

That’s all for today, see you soon!

Hello friends.ย  Jennifer Snyder here today to share a frosty slimline card created using a classic Maja Design holiday collection, Winter is Coming. It’s NOT to early to start those holiday cards.

I really wanted to use a winter design that didn’t have traditional winter colors.ย  This collection was exactly what I needed.ย  The print on the paper is frosty but yet unique. I also used a sheet from the Monochrome Shades of Winter – Warm White .

Frosty mornings

Warm White

The dies and stamps are from Spellbinders new collections.ย  The Friendly Snowmen stamps were colored using Spellbinders colored pencils.

Thank you for stopping here today.ย  You are appreciated.ย  Happy crafting.

Baptism Exploding Box

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Just like last time, today I bring you a Baptism inspiration, but this time I created a delicate baby girl exploding box:

For the box I combined the Celebration and Miles Apart collections, choosing some deliate floral patterns and neutral backgrounds:

I decorated the lid with a stamped and embossed sentiment and a flower cluster:

When you remove the lid, the box opens to reveal the inside:

I decorated the inned walls with die-cut motives, flower compositions and some stamped wishes. To add some glam, I used acrylic gems and iridescent sequins:

In the centre I put a box including a jewellery gift, but replaced the original box lid with a handmade one decorated with a die-cut doily and a signature strip pieces ๐Ÿ™‚ The box is tied with ribbon that is attached to the exploding box bottom – this way you can remove the gift box without having to rip it off ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think exploding boxes are best when you need to include a small gift or money – they work as both a card and gift box ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Agateria, Lemonade; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Craft&You Design, Cheery Lynn Dies; gems: Marianne Design; ribbon: Rayher; sequins, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, see you next time!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

A couple of years ago I made two Baptism cards using papers with very delicate patterns. Going through my pics the other day I found those cards and had that idea: how about making them a little bit more bold? So I selected some papers from the Miles Apart collection, changed the design just a tad – and boy, what a difference!

I love the cards’ refreshed look, delicate and light due to just a change of papers ๐Ÿ™‚ Apart from that, I used stamped images of babies that I coloured with Distress inks, clusters of white flowers, ribbon and sequins.

One is for a girl:

…and one for a boy:

Do you sometimes go back to your old projects and remake them? ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy, Lemonade; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; ribbon: Vintage Ribbon; sequins, waxed string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Tropical Wedding Card

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

The summer this year spoils us – sometimes too much, really! – with hot weather. And it is also traditionally the most busy time of the year when weddings are concerned. And when you combine “hot summer” and “wedding” you can only get a tropical wedding card ๐Ÿ˜€

In Poland, when we describe a couple who is very much in love, we use a saying that can be translated as “inseparable parrots”. So it was a perfect motive for me to put on a wedding card! I cut out two birds from the “Major Mitchell” sheet and arranged a love scene, adding some more cut outs, a filigree chipboard heart and some dimensional flowers. To make the flower cluster look fuller, I stamped some leaves in the background paper to match the printed ones. I also stamped the sentiment “Forever” directly onto the paper. I finished the card with some vintage ribbon, string and acrylic gems.

The card is nicely dimensional too, due to mounting particular layers on foam dots of various heights.

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps, chipboard: Agateria; flowers, ribbon: Wild Orchid Crafts; acrylic gems, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank yopu for visiting and see you later!
