Hello everyone,

Goodmorning on this lovely Sunday in July, can you believe how fast this year is going we are half way through already. Our little girl turned one year old 4 days ago wow {mommy is getting old lol}! For this layout with Abbey still as my center point as you can imagine.. I used the gorgeous “Little street Cafe” collection combined with the “Celebration” collection {I love the darker colors in this collection} I challenged myself to use more then one pictures so I could capture Abbey’s silly face phase she is such a fun girl but lately she gets angry when we pick her up it must be a phase every kid is going through….Kevin didn’t have that but he is a boy so maybe girls a different.

In this layout I used Abbey her flowered hair band with salmon colored flowers in my layout….I have seen people do that before so I thought well why not me! How are you all doing btw? Hopefully you haven’t lost people that are close to you from this nasty virus…I find it very hard to be at home all day but we have too so much more time to create right? We are on our summer break now just one week left {we have three}….We are painting our house and making it pretty to live in hopefully next year we can go on a nice trip to a warm country or so.

On my layout to can see that I used a text stamp on the background of my pink paper and a stencil of text on the black paper. The chipboard are by The Dusty Attic and the flowers and wishing bubbles are by 49 and Market also I added some prima marketing flowers on this layout.

Behind my pictures and flowers I added some cheesecloth to give my layout a little bit more texture. The sweet memories text I gessod and later on embossed with some black embossing powder by Lindy’s. I really love how this layout turend out. The chipboard leaves are painted with Dusty Attic’s Forrest paint.

I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you so much for your visit! Have a wonderful summer with nice warm weather…here it’s kind of rainy sadly hopefully out last week will be with nice warm weather…love

Hello sweet Maja Fans

Lenet here I hope you and your loved ones are all safe.

Today I bring you this Baby Card, that I made for friends of mine who just had a lovely baby girl.

A close up of the big bow, Baby girls need a big bow.

For this card  I used the of Denim and Girls and the Monochromes Shades of Denim

Dies I used  are The postage stamp frame from TimHoltz and the word Baby is a die from Marianne Design.

The little chipboard hearts come from a set of Maya Road I colored and glittered them withsome embossingpowder.

The lace, ribbon, flowers, button little pin and little babybottle come from my own stash.

Hope you like the card I made for your inspiration,

Stay safe , hope to see you back,

Love,  Lenet.

Welcome dear creative Maja friends!

Today a mixed media layout in shabby chic style as memory on wonderful days

with our little sunshine ‘Filou’ by the sea.

I was inspired to create a maritim inspired layout,

where I used some wooden shapes (Calico Craft Parts), cutting dies,

origin beach sand and self-assembled shells :-).

used paper collections

as background paper Monochromes – Shades of Celebration – Vintage Teal

for cutting and embossing elements Mono Celebration Pearl

Denim-P

‘Streetware’

 Vintage-Summer-Basics-P

‘1905’

some close up’s

a photo cutout backed with three punched flags

I used a 3D embossing folder ‘Flourish’ (Sizzix) as amazing waves

behind the photo you can see a rising sun made with 3D Impresslits ‘Radiant’ (Sizzix)

sand, shells, jute and some driftwood were all glued on with Heavy Gel Medium (DecoArt)

I wanted a weathered look for the four edges, so I used some remnants

 of punched out forms,

after gluing I painted over the edges of the pages

with a white thin crackle medium and palette knife.

Thanks for your visit!

Happy Summertime!

Kerstin

Hi everyone! I hope you are fine. I have had a little break making cards, for a month or so, but now I am back, and have made some cards ready to show. Here is the first one, using beautiful papers from the Vintage Summer Basics.

I have also added some butterflies, which are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection – 6th of May. I have added Stickels, Star Dust on to them.

The leaves are cut out from a sheet called 1933.

The image are from Magnolia, and coloured with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. I think the distress colours fits all the Maja papers so well. The flowers, ribbons and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Some tags with suitable texts.

I hope you have enjoyed my latest card. I wish you a lovely day!

With love,

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I hope you’re having great summer so far, even though travelling has been limited and we all still need to follow the lockdown rules. But the right attitude is the key to keep us all going strong through difficult times. So hang in there, and come have a look at the project I have to share.

Today I bring you a delicate baby girl page with a photo of my little niece. She’s so tiny in the picture, so I thought I’d use a limited amount of embellishments, making the page almost clean&simple in order not to overwhelm the photo and accent that delicacy.

I used the Denim & Friends with just a touch of the Denim & Girls collection for my layout. I kept the colour palette of the photo throughout the page. I first added some doily motives with a stencil and modeling paste and then placed the photo in the centre and surrounded it with flowers, hand cut tags and cardstock butterflies. The title is also a cardstock sticker. I completed my design with sequins scattered here and there for lightness and subtle shine:

I just love the versatility of Maja Design papers that allows you to make a sweet baby layout using a msculine collection! What do you think of how the page turned out?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stencil: Agateria; flowers, stickers: Prima Marketing; sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, drop by soon for more inspiration! See you later!
