Hello and welcome Maja Design friends. Tina Ollett with you today to share a moodboard inspired creation. As you may already be aware,  Maja Design’s moodboard challenge is now up. Here is a glimpse for those who have not as yet seen it. Absolutely stunning!! A big thankyou to Marie Janson for all of her creativity putting these together every month.

And this is my take on the gorgeous moodboard using the new release collection of Holiday in the Alps.

I have titled this layout “Merry Christmas”. I hunted for a photo fit for this project for a long time. I had to dig very deep and then come across this. I cannot ever remember seeing this photo amongst my pics but there it was. A photo of all 3 of my beautiful children caught in the moment of opening gifts on Christmas morning. So many beautiful memories are bought about by this photo. Isn’t it a beautiful thing that as scrapbookers we can relive the moment when creating.

Anyway more about the project. I have as previously mentioned used the new release designed by the very talented Marie Janson…. “Holiday in the Alps”. She has created an absolutely amazing collection. I am not huge on Christmas but this collection just rocked my world. I can see myself doing lots more in the coming weeks. Below are the papers I have used.

Snowflakes bs

Snowmen bs

I used the striped paper “Snowmen” as my background pieces and tore the blue sheet Snowflakes to sit through the middle of the project and the remaining pieces were made as photo matting for my two photos. I also decided a little bit later to add in some brown. So I added in the patterned paper “A New Year”.

On my background I added in some texture paste through Dusty Attic’s Starry Night stencil and then sprinkled over Sparkling Dust from Dress My Craft.

I have framed my photos using some gorgeous ornate frame chipboards from Dusty Attic. These were dressed in acrylic paints and inks. I also added in a couple of the Swirly frames and cut them into several pieces. They were dressed in Liquid Pearls and sprinkled over with Sparkling Dust.

I found some gorgeous silver branches whilst out shopping this week which fit perfectly for this project. I didn’t even have to colour them. Just cut and adhered.

I have also added in some gorgeous little pinecones. These were spritzed in an irridescent clear spray and dusted with Sparkling Dust.

So that is it. A little bit of Christmas inspiration using this month gorgeous moodboard. I hope you find time to join us in the challenge. Thankyou so much for popping by here today and taking the time to look. We appreciate it.

Until next time take care and happy scrapping.

Christmas Slider Shaker Card by Lenet Mos

Hello sweet maja fans,

Lenet here and today I bring you this Christmas slider shakercard.

If you pull the bleu tap you can see the shaker part , with Santa in his sleigh on his way to deliver the presents.

I had this photo sleeve fuse tool from Becky Higgins in my toll drawer for awhile now and never used it, so I thought now is the perfect time to do something with it and so I made the shakerpocket using it.

Never thought it would be so fun and easy, I’m sure I will be using it more often now.

Here you have a closeup of the shakerpart.

For this card I used a combination of the 15×15 set and the 12by12 from the newest Holiday in the Alps collection.

For the snowflake behind the shaker I used the Snow sheet from the monochromes -Shades of the Alps.

I think it’s such a splendid idea to make the matching monochromes, now you have always the right color cardstock to go with your papers.

The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Scrapiniec.

Thank you very much for visiting the blog. I hope you like what I made for you.

Make sure you come back to see what the other maja girls have made for you.

Hello dear creative friends!

I love it to let me inspire from the nature and the seasons with all what this time make me very special for me.

In the autumn time we were often in the forest and collected mushrooms, surprisingly there were even some.

I love this autumn mood in the forest, everything is wrapped in a special light, slightly veiled, mysterious and on particularly beautiful days you can also see the hot-air balloons in the sky, for which our dog always has great respect, because they make such strange noises for him.

some close up’s

Maybe you are still in autumn rather than winter mood,

then let yourself be inspired by the Maja Design autumn collections.

I used some papers from the ‘Walking in the forest’, I love this beautiful warm colours with natural autumn motifs such like foliage, mushrooms, berries …and a perfect addition for me the paper sheet ‘Wood’ from ‘Denim and Friends’.

Hi everyone! Today I thought I would show you a bit more of the card I made to yesterday’s Mood board for MajaDesign. I have used the new gorgeous papers from the Holiday in the Alps collection. Just love it!!

I think this image from Stempelglede fitted the Mood board perfectly. I have used Distress ink, re-inkers and Markers for my colouring. For a more snowy effect, I have added some liquid pearls and fran-tage around the image. I have also painted with white Gesso here and there.

The flowers are from Wild Ochid Crafts. I have made the God Jul (Merry Christmas) text with dies from Papirdesign. I used a Monocrome sheet for the text. The tags are made with kraft papers, Maja papers and a Magnolia tag die.

I have also added some wooden decor from Wycinanka.

I really hope you will enter the Mood board challenge!

Thank you so much for visiting the MajaDesign blog today!

With love,

Hello MajaDesign fans! Welcome to the last mood board challenge of 2019!

This time it is a double one which mean you will have a little bit of extra time to be creative. We have made this mood board with the inspiration from the new collection “Holiday in the Alps” but if you have some other MajaDesign sheets you find will work it’s of course totaly fine to use them! We can’t wait to see some winterly, crispy creations for this one…

This is how we use the mood boards:
Definition mood board – n
[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design and you are free to interpret the Mood board in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme. You can use all of the colors, or only one of them – that’s up to you.

How to participate?

♥ Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection* you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6, thank you.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed on the 28th, at the MajaDesign blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice*, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

*Note that we have run out of a few sheets of some of our older collections (e.g. the Sofiero collection) We will contact you if this applies to your chosen collection.

We need your entry by the 23th of  December at the latest.
