Hi everyone! I am back with a tag this time, using the lovely collection Coffee in the Arbour.

Lots of pink to match the pattern papers. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the image and dies used are from Magnolia.

The image is coloured with Distress Ink, reinkers and Markers.

I have added some corrugated papers behind the image. And painted with white Gesso here and there.

A beautiful butterfly cut out twice to make the double wings.

Some tags where I have used Bazzill paper, and added a pink ring made of Maja papers.

The text is embossed with white embossing powder and a heat gun. All the paper edges are sewed with a sewing machine.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja design blog today. Have a wonderful September!

With love,

Hello MajaDesign followers!

And welcome back to our Mood board challenge. Summer is coming to an end and soon nature will take on it’s most lovely colour scheme. This season I’m looking forward to relaxing walks in the fresh air, thicker cozy clothes and long conversations with friends over a cup of freshley brewed coffee. I’ve put these autumn ambitions down in a Mood Board and now we would love to see how you intend to celebrate September.

This is how we use the mood boards:
Definition mood board – n
[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design and you are free to interpret the Mood board in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme. You can use all of the colors, or only one of them – that’s up to you.

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use MajaDesign papers primarily!

♥ Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection* you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6, thank you.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed on the 28th, at the MajaDesign blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice*, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

*Note that we have run out of a few sheets of som of our collections (e.g. the Sofiero collection) We will contact you if this applies to your chosen collection.

We need your entry by the 25th of  September at the latest.

Hello Maja Fans,

The summer is almost over and I can’t believe that it has gone so fast. I tell it to myself each year, actually.

Well, when talking about the Summer I always think about the flowers. and this time Chamomiles are my focus.

I found such a matching paper sheet for my idea – from Coffee in the Arbor collection – White Daisies and draw the flowers on the background with acrylics.

Actually, it’s quite easy to do since they are quite simple to copy.

Also I arranged the flower cluster around my circle title and added the fussy cutting butterflies.

Though the butterflies are mostly blue they match the papers and the mood perfectly.

I don’t say farewell to the Summer Season, I do believe we have more summer days early Autumn too.

Hello Maja fans!

Mary with you today and I have a new layout with a video tutorial to share with you. As always I found my photo on Pinterest and this one inspired me to create a soft romantic page in green, white and brown tones.

But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer. To create my page I used Maja Design papers from the gorgeous ”Vintage Summer Basics” collection along with some gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards and beautiful 49 and Market flowers.

You can watch all the procedure here…

The paper I used is the ”1921” and I started by applying a coat of clear gesso. Then, I created texture with Finnabair paper texture paste and the Dusty Attic Damask #2 Stencil. When the paste dried, I randomly stamped using 49 and Market stamp sets. I added color with the Lindy’s Gang ”Greased Lightnin’ Green” spray.

Next, I used different mixed media techniques to treat the Dusty Attic chipboards which you can watch on the video tutorial.

Then, I layered all the gorgeous elements around my photo and added in some 49 and Market flowers. At last, I added the Dusty Attic title word and finished it up with art stones, glass beads and glitter.

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Until next time happy crafting!

Hello sweet Maja fans.

Lenet here and today I bring you this card with lots of layers .

For this card I used the 6×6″ paperpad of Denim and Girls and the 12×12″ sheet Romantic Blouse of the Denim and Girls collection.

I used the Romantic Blouse sheet to cut out the flowers that I tucked between the layers and behind the glittered heart. I used some little pieces of foame tape to give them some dimension.

As a finishing touch I added some bling using Nuvo Crystal Gems, and a little red heart in the corner from the cherry hearts also from nuvo pure sheen gemstones.

I hope you like the card I made for you this week.

Thank you for visiting and hope to see you back soon.
